Why isn't Ben an actual 'member' of the band?

Dudeeeeeeeee Ben rocks, so why isn't he like a 'true member' of Lifehouse or whatever? Lol. He totally needs to be! We love Ben!

Ben needs to be an official member of LH.

Everything I know that he's Australian and he got his own band named Oceanic. I don't know really the name, so sorry if its wrong.

Ben is really a cool guy and I hope he will touring a long time with LH. :D
