How does everyone feel about this song being the next single?? How do you think it'll do?

Awesome! I think its cool that they close with it too. I just think its the kind of main-stream sound people tend to dig. I think its cool that they've gotten so popular cause it means tours (especially to places they don't come often, like COLORADO) and they have the decency to play at intimate venues still (MAJOR PLUS!!) but I HATE when people latch on to a few of their popular songs and fail to appreciate the rest of their music. I like their popular ones, but I think the real genius music is in the rest of the songs on the records. Sorry for the tangent

Oh, I totally agree. And even better are the b-sides in my opinion like Midnight in Philadelphia. =]

Wierd. I like Broken a lot, but it's not one of my favorites. I agree about Lifehouse's hits not being their best music. Maybe I feel like that because they're on the radio too much. I don't know how many times I heard HBAM, but I got tired of it for a period in 2003.

But there are some bands like Jimmy Eat World and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus where I love the songs I hear on the radio, but then I sample their album music and I don't like it nearly as much. I'm in love with the song "Your Guardian Angel" right now.

I got so excited when I heard the new version of Broken! I was skeptical of Broken as a single, now I'm completely excited and I can't wait to hear it on the radio.

Oh, that's too bad. I know it's not the same, but you could stream my local radio stations on the internet. These are my favorites:

I really don't like the 'radio version' they have up on their MySpace. It doesn't have the emotion or the feeling that the original song does. =/

I personally like both. I think that the original emotion and helplessness in jason's voice in the original fit the lyrics a bit better. I know some people don't like the new version, but the good thing is we'll always have the original. Also, I was thinking that it will make it even more special not to have the original it overplayed on the radio. For example, hearing "First Time" and "You and Me" on the radio all the time, sometimes it gets a little tiring. It's the other songs that many find to be the better Lifehouse songs. But at least it gets people's attention. I would never want to get tired of "Broken." So to me, having a seperate radio friendly version can be good in some ways. And the live version in my opinion, will always be the best! Did I make any sense? Just trying to be optimistic.

Oh good point about the overplaying on the radio! Well, I agree with everything you said. To answer your questions, Becky, I'm really glad that Broken is the next single, sad that they changed it so much, but then glad again because it's like we get a new song sort of, and I love hearing new music from Lifehouse. I think it will do well on the radio.
